Women's Ministry

"Teach me your way, O LORD, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name."

Psalm 86:11

The Women's Ministry aims to make disciples by connecting the women of OBC,
growing them in God's Word, and equipping them to serve the body for the glory of God.

This ministry of discipleship includes caring for one another through
Bible studies, retreats, social gatherings and training.

Bible Studies

Women's Bible Study is designed to help women grow in their walk with God. We believe our relationship with Christ begins with our personal study of the Bible and is enhanced and strengthened as we meet corporately to share what we have learned. We welcome women from all stages of life as we learn and grow together.
Join us this fall on Monday nights or Wednesday mornings as we see Jesus as The Lamb of God in Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy.  John 5:46 says, “For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote of me.” Author Nancy Guthrie will walk us through how “Jesus’s declaration that Moses wrote of him frames this study of four books of the Pentateuch.”

Childcare will be provided for the morning study, birth through kindergarten.

Studies begin September 11th and 13th.

Monday evening 7:00 – 8:30

Wednesday morning 10:00 – 11:30.

Cost: $15

Childcare: $25 per child, per semester

Please register here so we can plan for you.

Book Club

The Ladies' Bookclub seeks to read books together that help us grow in our knowledge of life by reading from a variety of genres. Our hope is to discuss themes and ideas that lead to a better understanding of the world in which we live through the lens of our faith.

If you are a woman who likes to read and enjoys good  conversation, then you will love the OBC Ladies' Book Club.  Join us as we read from several genres including biographies, fiction, non-fiction and more.  We will meet from 7:30pm – 9:00pm on the first Thursday of each month.
This fall join us as we read two books together.

October 5 We will discuss The Toxic War on Masculinity: How Christianity Reconciles the Sexes
November 2 We will discuss The Scarlet Letter

Fellowships

Join us every other month as we gather together for a time of fellowship, food, and testimonies.

Our women's fellowships are great opportunities to get to know one another, as well as to be equipped and encouraged by ladies from our church family.

Upcoming events will be posted on the church calendar.

Seminars & Retreats

Providing a unique setting for training, prayer, and fellowship, our retreats and seminars are more intensive times of study. These events will be shared on the church calendar.
