An Invitation to Prayer in 2024

Dear OBC Family,

“Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Heb 4:16).

One of the unexpected fruits of difficult seasons is how the Lord draws us near to Himself. The Wednesday before Christmas, several members gathered together to pray for our church. It was an encouraging and edifying time of Scripture reading, group prayer, and silent prayer as those gathered sought the Lord together.

As we go into the New Year, we have decided to hold additional prayer meetings for whoever would like to join us. We will be gathering for prayer in the sanctuary on the first and third Wednesdays of January to March, from 7:00-8:00pm.

Upcoming Wednesday Evening Prayer Meetings
     January 3 & 17
     February 7 & 21
     March 6 & 20

If your schedule is overwhelmed and one more thing would be challenging, please do not see this as an extra obligation or a reason to feel guilty if you’re unable to attend. The intent of holding these prayer meetings is not to add one-more-thing, but to take the opportunity to pray together in the weeks ahead.

Toward that end, we invite you to come together for prayer in the new year.
